"Forpost" (Outpost) Company sells and installs automobile security systems, audio systems and car accessories.
The main function of the site is the before-sale preparation. Because the majority of devices on sale have numerous
characteristics and functions, the buyers, even prior to the purchase, have many questions to the store managers. The
main task of the site, therefore, would be answering most frequently asked questions and increase the customers awareness
of the products. As for the design - the client requested the most untrivial visual solution, not
found in the World-Wide Web at that time.
The whole range of the products sold in the store was divided into three categories: "Alarm systems",
"Audio systems" and "Accessories". Each section contains the list of the whole product range and links
to the pages with complete desciption of the necessary product. The site main menu was augmented by
such sections as "News", "Recommendations to customers" and "Services".
The site design is based on the Middle Ages historical theme and original drawn graphics. The idea is to
represent each site section by the relative character. The icon of the section is a certain item
characteristic of the related character. For example, audio systems are represented by the trumpet-player
with the icon of the horn, alarm systems - by the guard with the shield, news - by the monk with the scroll.
After the transfer to one of the site sections the corresponding character is shown in the right color column.
